Safety is a critical element to Sachs Electric's total quality culture. Our goal is zero incidents and that no employee or their family suffers physically, emotionally, or economically because of an incident sustained while working in the employment of Sachs Electric.

Our objective is to provide every employee with the tools necessary, whether it is equipment or training, to perform the job in the safest and most efficient manner possible. One of the primary tools that we use to operate safely is a comprehensive safety and health plan complete with written policies and procedures. Two such policies include:

  • Pre-Task Planning Policy - Sachs Electric Company is committed to providing its employees with a safe and healthful workplace free from recognized hazards. This procedure outlines the execution of the Pre-Task Plan Card on a task-specific basis. Awareness of potential hazards associated with construction activities is imperative in achieving zero injuries. The Pre-Task Planning Policy includes a series of Pre-Task Plan Cards. Just taking the few extra minutes to fill these cards out before you start a job can prevent down-time and even possible injuries. The cards available are:
    • Daily Underground Pre-Task Card
    • Material Handling & Storage Pre-Task Card
    • Sachs Pre-Task Plan Card
    • Welding, Torch Cutting & Hot Wire Pre-Task Card
  • Job Hazard Analysis Policy - This procedure provides the guidelines to perform a Job Hazard Analysis. The prime objective is to avoid or minimize the hazards of performing the work.

We believe that by providing education, stimulating employee participation, and sharing in our efforts and successes, we have been able to foster an organizational environment that places safety as one of the primary determinants of our success.
